Nice speeches, unfortunately, until there was trouble in the offing,  no charges were being laid in, not just one iteration of these kinds of events, but in dozens and dozens of these kinds of events.  Even here, where four police did not even try to revive George Floyd,  even after they checked for a pulse and could not find one, instead of turning him over and trying to resuscitate him, they instead watched as that deadly knee was pressed into his neck for another 2 minutes and 53 seconds, almost 3 full minutes with not a care or concern that he might be revived by quick action.  Which is why such speeches fail.  Even now they are trying to sell the idea that the death was accidental/not intentional and/or not pre planned.  Even while the evidence shows the officers involved not only did not care for the life of George Floyd, the actively denied him any rescue effort.  Did that happen by accident too?  Is it an accident that no charges were even intended until the trouble started?  Even after this same sort of thing has happened over and over and over again?  For sure something has to change, but that change has to come from the top, and those at the top are continuing to resist.  That, is what the evidence shows!  Meanwhile, all the rank and file police stand quiet while their leaders struggle to placate the people by doing just enough and no more than necessary.  But people are not supposed to remember and learn from each successive event?  You elected officials and the police need to come forward and condemn these acts and join with the people calling for justice, or stand silent and be counted among those who will help evil succeed.  That's what you've been telling us, now we're telling it to you!

Minneapolis protests erupt on camera after man allegedly stabbed | Nine ...

Did not die at the hospital.  The police checked for his pulse and could not find one,
then continued to keep the knee on his neck for another two minutes and fifty-three seconds!
No effort was made to revive or resuscitate him, instead the four police made absolutely sure that Floyd could not survive.

Here's the evidence of premeditation they are trying to ignore and that is making people angry:
The police checked Floyd's body for a pulse/sign of life and did not find one, instead of turning him over and administering resuscitation efforts, they kept that knee pressed on his neck, cutting off any chance the Floyd could breathe, for another full two minutes and fifty-three seconds.  Even then they did not attempt to revive him.  All four officers are trained to resuscitate victims in severe distress even after a pulse cannot be detected, by applying their efforts within as short a time as possible when they know of the problem.  Not one of the four officers bothered to demand or ask or insist on an effort to revive Floyd.  Thereby proving that their intent was to kill George Floyd! The decision to not attempt to revive him and to ensure that he not be rescued, proves that this was a premeditated murder!

Two minutes and Fifty Three seconds, that is first degree murder! Premeditated murder because the victims body was checked for signs of life and no sign of life could be found,  AT THAT POINT IN TIME, THE VICTIM SHOULD HAVE BEEN TURNED OVER AND RESUSCITATION EFFORTS DEPLOYED!!!  The fact that they did not try to revive him, is evidence that they intended that the victim die and stay dead, they cannot claim otherwise since they (all four officers) are trained in resuscitation protocols.

And it won't be a charge of premeditated murder or murder 1, so that says to other police that hey, we've got immunity.  Hardly a wonder that racists/white supremacists seek jobs in law enforcement. We know this from Southern Poverty Law Center research (SPLC). Where police who get drummed off of big city police forces then go on to get jobs as police officers in smaller towns and counties.

The city, county and state officers, officials and Public Attorney's across America will have to decide, to prosecute police who break the law.  If they don't, as has happened, they are all guilty of breaking the law and their police force loses it's credibility as a law enforcement agency and becomes, is reduced to being just a outlaw gang of thugs. Real law enforcement does not allow anyone, even it's own membership to get away with law breaking.

Always placating words from the top.  Where are the voices of those good cops who we're constantly told about?  Take the cameras into the police stations and lets hear from the rank and file who don't want to be associated, even if by silent approval, of this atrocious criminal conduct.  Until we hear from lesser officials,  we cannot know that our police departments have not become lawless gangs of thugs and no longer law enforcers.  After all, people enamored of enforcing the laws would not countenance giving a pass to the cretins who commit these acts.

'None Of Us Can Be Silent': Biden Responds To Outrage Over George Floyd'...

Good on Joe, but we always hear from those at the top, but then we have to suffer it again and again.  We heard the Mayors, we hear the Governors, sometimes we even hear the President and/or from Congress.  Who we need to hear from are those "good cops" if there are any who do not want to be seen as accomplices after the fact.  We need to hear from city council members, we need to hear Police rank and file and the Brass.  We need to hear from state legislators.  Until we hear from govt. officials from bottom to top, we are going to feel that there are many in government who are offering silent support for this kind of thing.

Live: Minnesota Governor Holds Press Conference On George Floyd Protests...

Governor, you and the Mayor are not the only public officials we need to hear from.  We need to hear from other local, city and state officials and we need to hear from police and police departments state wide, disavowing lawlessness and premeditated murder going unaddressed and/or unpunished simply because the offender wears one of their uniforms.  Anyone who we do not hear from is a potential accomplice after the fact, so let them all come forward and speak!  We need to know the positions of the various official forces.

Minneapolis Mayor: 'We Need A Charge Of The Arresting Officer' | Rachel ...

What needs to happen is a call by officials for the good policemen/women to come out and step up against the official/legal permissiveness that is making the Police dept. into a lawless gang, against whom the public needs to be very afraid.  I don't hear any "good Police" coming forward and sayig: "We are not a lawless gang, we are public law enforcement official and, as such we do not countenance or agree with anyone breaking  the law without fear of punishment, simply because they wear the uniform." Because, until that happens they all appear to be accomplices after the fact.  Police silence is saying: "We agree that needless and unnecessary deaths at the hands of our fellow officers are approved by us all!" While the fact that it happens to blacks alone, says a whole lot more!

These cities and state governments are corrupting the Police mission by letting them get away with murder, because that makes them accomplices after the fact.  If they do nothing the Police become a gang and not a law enforcement agency.  No matter how many good police you have, if you continue to allow the bad apples to get away with crimes,  you have corrupted the entire department and turned it into a lawless gang.
