Here I've altered the color and contrast to make the circled feature more visible. Pay attention to the swath of red across the bridge of the nose. On the left it is of one size, on the right, the altered photo, it's clearly been stretched downwards and the bridge of the nose narrows. This is the result of a warping tool that stretches the image. Obviously a face cannot be changed in this way without major surgery.
good work lonnie
ReplyDeleteThanks, it's a wonder this clearly altered photo is drawing so many comments for people who can't believe that it's altered. I guess that just goes to show that some people, either can't believe their own eyes, or form opinions before they understand what they're discussing.
ReplyDeleteBut then, as a life long debater, I'm guessing we're used to that, eh?

Oh and here's the tiny url in case anyone needs it: http://tinyurl.com/co9ouag
DeleteThanks for the tiny url link, too. GZ's mouth looks so much larger in the second photo, as though it's been stretched, wide . . . and it's much lower on his face.
DeleteYes, the entire face looks narrower, the nose more "mangled" in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteGZ's eyes look larger in the second, photo with the yellow light; his hairline comes down further on his forehead. Yes, the second photo is warped. The prosecutor could get an expert witness to testify to that, I feel, should the defense attempt to introduce that altered photo at trial.
DeleteThe red swath in the left picture is the same as the red swath in the right picture. Thus a simple pixel count of the number of pixels in the red swath on the left, as compared to the one on the right, reveals the picture on the right to have been altered. An expert will have no trouble proving it fake.
DeleteWho created this fake image is another question, since it appears to have happened inside the SPD.
It was Wagner it is in the discovery dump he claims he downloaded that pic onto his computer from his phone but he never turned it over to the SPD until March 18th when Serino asked why there was no photo's of GZ the night this happened.
ReplyDeleteI understand that this photo was being withheld at a time when the SPD was interested in not charging Zimmerman. As such, in it's unaltered state, it would not have supported his story. Later, however, when it was turned over, it had been altered, very likely to enable it to be used as support for Zimmerman's story. In that state it was given to the SP, who was then required to turn it over to the defense in discovery.
DeleteThe SP's theories about the photo are not discoverable, so they gave it to the defense without comment. That the defense saw fit to use it, shows just how lacking they were of evidence to support their theories.
They may, or may not have known that the photo was altered, but they certainly should have examined it more carefully, before they attempted to use it to support their case.
One thing that doesn't change in a copy of a photo, whether or not it's enlarged or shrunken and that's the proportions. Everything in the second photo should have the exact same proportions in relation to the other features present.
ReplyDeleteThey are using this photo at trial and they keep using it and bringing it out saying here is the ppicture that we got from the SPD.
ReplyDeleteits clear that Zimmerman started it because had he stayed in his home and let the police handle it none of this would have happened.
ReplyDeleteThey've accepted this altered photo into evidence and the physicians assistant can't make heads nor tails that it's fake. She's also said that the "swelling" could easily go down in 12 hours, but doesn't note that the nose itself is misshapen, which is not swelling and would require surgery to alter. She's, obviously not in the camp for justice. Calling what are likely skull deformities "swelling" and "subdural hemorrhaging", good thing Bernie came back a quickly cleared that up. Scratch on physicians assistant, she's probably going to find it hard to get work after this. .
ReplyDeleteDigital image manipulation is a dangerous scenario !?
