In Newark N.J. they don't allow police to engage in high-speed chases because of the danger such chases pose to bystanders. They will catch the offender by use of professional police work, not by "Hollywood" stunts. Which is why I would like to know just how many shots were actually fired in this residential neighborhood? Could the unnecessary danger posed by these weapons discharges be the real reason they refuse to allow the public to see the tapes until they can successfully edit out the unwanted parts? We will see, my guess is the Justice Department will want to see the unaltered tapes or someone will have to be held to account if evidence has been altered or concealed.
