No knock warrants should be illegal because police cannot know who will be present in the place to be raided, nor can they know how the occupants will react to the sudden intrusion. The law says that your home is your castle, yet a no-knock warrant takes that premise away entirely since you cannot defend yourself against police intrusions whether they are warranted, legal, illegal, or otherwise mistaken or in error. Either way, you are at fault for defending yourself against a confusing and chaotic sudden intrusion you may not be able to comprehend the parameters of.
